This role is responsible for driving new business opportunities and maximising non-match day venue sales, positioning the stadium as a leading destination for meetings, conferences, and events.The successful candidate will play a key role in developing new business across target markets while growing existing key accounts in line with the venue's sales and marketing strategy. This role also includes leading and mentoring the existing sales team and ensuring strong commercial performance across the department.The RoleAs Sales & Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for proactively generating new meeting and event business while managing the overall sales and marketing activity for the venue. Working closely with internal teams, you will ensure the stadium continues to attract high-quality corporate, conference, and private events year-round.You will bring a strong understanding of the hospitality, events, and MICE sectors, combined with the ability to manage relationships, deliver revenue growth, and lead a successful sales function.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and lead the Sales & Events Department at Aviva StadiumSet and manage monthly KPIs and sales targets for the teamOversee and manage all marketing activities and associated budgetsIdentify and target new market segments to drive venue revenueResearch leads and drive the full sales cycle from prospecting through to closingDevelop and grow relationships with existing and potential clientsImplement effective sales strategies and business development plansRepresent the venue at networking events, trade shows, and client eventsManage sales reporting, revenue tracking, and departmental budgetsWork collaboratively with operational teams to ensure successful event deliveryMaintain strong communication with all departments across the venueAbout YouYou will be a proactive and highly motivated sales professional with a strong hospitality background and a passion for events.
