Market Offering

Role Overview
Support the Legal and Compliance Manager in all compliance matters, including but not limited to trade compliance, supply chain integrity, and quality certifications. Develop and implement policies across the business and European subsidiaries to ensure compliance with local laws, as well as review and support legal contracts.
Key Responsibilities
Trade Compliance
* Act as point of contact for compliance queries.
* Support product classification and verification of ECCN codes.
* Advise on and maintain End User Certificates.
* Assist with export licences (including SIEL).
* Support customer/supplier screening to mitigate sanctions risks.
* Carry out monthly import/export checks to maintain AEO accreditation.
ISO Accreditations
* Manage, develop, and maintain ISO certifications: 9001 (Quality), 14001 (Environmental), and 45001 (Health & Safety).
* Act as main contact for audit bodies and ensure successful audits and renewals.
Reporting
* Manage data collection and submissions for WEEE, battery, and packaging reporting.
* Record and report health & safety incidents.
* Report monthly CO2 emissions.
Supplier and Product Onboarding
* Finalise and roll out supply chain integrity policies.
* Maintain supplier/product onboarding questionnaires and risk assessments.
* Support risk-based reassessments in line with policy.
General
* Support delivery of the company compliance plan.
* Assist with stakeholder and group-level reporting.
* Respond to customer/vendor compliance questionnaires.
* Develop tools to track audit/licence renewal dates.
* Embed a culture of compliance and sustainability across the business.
* Support in managing legal and contractual risks within appetite.
Other Requirements
* Travel across European locations to ensure local entities align with policies and compliance culture.
Background/Experience
* Experience in import/export controls, ISO accreditations, and regulatory reporting (WEEE, battery, packaging).
* Policy development experience suitable for a mid-sized, multi-entity business.
Skills
* Strong knowledge of ISO audits and accreditations.
* Familiarity with AEO requirements (preferred).
* Ability to handle UK/EU export-controlled information.
* Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio).
* Analytical skills for trade/customs compliance issues.
* Experience in developing, implementing, and auditing compliance policies.
* Strong organisational skills.
