Company Full Time Hours

Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, with 1 hour for lunch.

(PLUS 4 Saturdays per annum, 9.00 am to 2.00 pm to support our quarterly Fine Auctions and 4 Tuesdays per annum, working an additional 2 hours for late night viewing until 7.00 pm. Fine Auctions to occur March, June, September and December each year.)

Job Purpose Summary:

To provide high-quality commercial photography to support Ewbank’s printed and online auction catalogues, marketing activity and digital platforms.

Working as part of a small team, the Photographer plays a key role in presenting auction lots accurately and attractively, shooting high volumes of still life imagery to tight rolling deadlines across more than 100 auctions per annum.

The role offers exposure to all departments within the auction house and contributes directly to the commercial performance and reputation of the business.

Job Requirements:

Knowledge & Experience

* Experience in still life or commercial product photography is essential. Experience in an auction environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
* Strong working knowledge of Photoshop or equivalent photo editing software.
* Confident using web-based systems and willing to learn Ewbank’s back-office system (Microsoft Navision).
* An interest in art, antiques and collectables would be advantageous.

Training, Education & Qualifications

* Relevant photography qualification or demonstrable professional portfolio preferred.
* Full UK driving licence required.

* Highly organised with the ability to manage high volumes of work to strict deadlines.
* Strong attention to detail, maintaining consistent quality and file standards.
* Creative eye with the ability to produce clear, commercially effective imagery.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and use initiative.
* Team player, willing to support colleagues during busy auction periods.
* Positive, reliable and hardworking attitude.

Responsibilities:

* Shoot high-quality still life photography at volume for auction catalogues and online listings.
* Ensure consistent, accurate and commercially effective imagery across all departments.
* Edit, crop, process and upload images in line with required specifications.
* Maintain an organised workflow to meet weekly targets and auction deadlines.
* Prepare and maintain studio equipment, ensuring all equipment is functional and correctly maintained.
* Take responsibility for studio standards, organisation and safe working practices.
* Provide photography support for marketing and editorial features where required.
* Take an active interest in product knowledge across antiques, art and memorabilia.
* Assist other areas of the business on auction days as required.
* Comply with all company policies and procedures.
