Responsibilities
* Ensure Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plans are consistently of the highest standard and legally compliant.
* Work with a team of experienced EHC Plan Writers and SEND Assessment Officers to develop the quality of Bolton's EHC Plans.
* Advocate a culture of continued learning and development.
* Build links with families, settings, and partner agencies across education, health and care to ensure quality of both EHC Plans and educational provision.
* Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team and Placements Officer to ensure educational settings, both in and out of the borough, meet the Council's expectations around the delivery of a quality education and value for money.
* Lead on Stage 1 complaint responses and identify any corrective actions and thematic issues.
* Have oversight of relevant information on the SEND Local Offer.
* Foster positive relationships with children and young people and their families.
* Provide constructive feedback to support continuous and sustained improvement.
* Manage complex situations with a solution‑focused approach to any complaints or issues raised.
* Maintain strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
* Analyse and interpret information and data to provide clear reports that inform day‑to‑day practice and strategic planning.
* Demonstrate resilience and the ability to work to a high standard under pressure.
* Perform a customer‑facing role under the fluency duty, requiring a specified level of spoken English.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience working within SEND, with a good understanding of the SEND framework, relevant legislation and what a good EHC Plan looks like.
* Experience working in a multi‑agency way with a range of stakeholders.
