We are looking for a Facilities Operative to join our team based in Tamworth, working flexibly between 08:00am to 08:00pm Tuesday - Saturday, 4 hours per day.
Due to recent growth, this is a newly created role to support the business in ensuring the site and all its facilities are maintained to the highest standard.

How you'll make a difference...
- Advising management on any necessary standard or facilities concerns- Resolve issues in a timely manner- To contribute to a safe working environment by reporting any health and safety hazards to the management team- To undertake any necessary training if required, statutory training e.g. fire safety, manual handling etc.- To undertake any other duties at the request of Operations team- Conduct spot check audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.- Recommend preventative and implement corrective actions and monitor the effectiveness of improvements.- Collaborate with cross functional teams- Undertake duties in accordance with all relevant management systems and controls- To report any damage or defects to the management team- Keeping the building and immediate exterior area clear- To ensure the security of the building and its contents, as far as is reasonably practicable- To report any acts of vandalism and damage to a member of the management team as soon as possible- At the direction of and with the agreement of the Operations team, to carry out minor repairs of a DIY nature (which do not require specialist knowledge)- Major repairs to be carried out by an appropriate contractor as detailed by the Operations team, with temporary action to be taken- To liaise where necessary with contractors on site- Ensure standards of quality, customer service are always met- Working with the Operations team to identify and work towards continuous skills competency and professional development
What you'll need:
- Proven experience in facilities, specialist or similar role- Experience in a hands on, fast-paced environment. Resilient personality with the ability to work with cross functional teams- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team- Excellent communication skills, in constant communication with other colleagues and visitors.- Be customer focused, high levels of attention to detail- Great organisational skills
