We are looking for
a motivated and dynamic individual to work across our Speech & Language Therapy and Nutrition & Dietetic teams at Weston General Hospital. You will be part of our front door services, supporting patients and staff in the Emergency Department and Assessment Units.
The is a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop while working. You will work clinically for four days a week and dedicate one day a week to study, completing a two-year apprenticeship that leads to a Level 5 Foundation Degree. Following successful completion of this qualification, you will progress from this Band 3 post to a Band 4 Assistant Practitioner role.

Please note: This role involves a two-stage interview process – first with our team at UHBW and then with the college delivering the apprenticeship.
6. Implement MUST screening etc as required & highlight care plan needs
7. Assist patients meet their nutritional requirements, observing dysphagia guidance & therapy
8. Contribute to the safe and effective management of special diets & food allergies within front door services
9. Support patients with communication difficulties
10. Maintain stock levels of patient information (clinical and non-clinical)
11. Help with transfer of care to community teams & patient’s home
