Sony Pictures Entertainment, a division of Sony Corporation, is a creative entertainment company involved in creating movies, television, music, and games. We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Manager to join our London-based TV distribution team on a 1-year fixed-term contract covering maternity leave.
The successful candidate will have extensive sales experience, strong analytical skills, and will manage the Benelux & Icelandic distribution business. The role involves collaborating with senior leadership to achieve sales targets across our catalogue, including finished programming and formats, and managing partnerships to generate revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales and Business Development: Manage existing deals, create new opportunities, negotiate and finalize deals within guidelines, and stay updated on market trends.
2. Formats: Drive sales of formats and unscripted content, handle strategic planning, and grow the business exceeding targets.
3. Deal Negotiation and Management: Prepare for negotiations, analyze deal performance, collaborate with legal teams, and optimize deal terms.
4. Budget Setting: Lead sales budget preparation, provide projections, and monitor performance.
5. Sales Planning: Optimize product windowing and pricing, unlock value from deals, and collaborate with internal teams.
Qualifications include 7+ years of sales experience in TV distribution, understanding of distribution channels, negotiation skills, technological knowledge, strong communication, and analytical skills, and willingness to travel.
