Responsibilities of the ECT KS1 : Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum. Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment. Support students’ academic and social development, adapting teaching to meet individual needs. Track and assess progress, providing constructive feedback to pupils and parents. Collaborate with teaching assistants, SEN staff, and leadership to ensure holistic support for all children. Engage in continuous professional development and mentorship offered through the school. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending completion of your teacher training course. A strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and child development. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. A positive, resilient, and reflective attitude towards teaching and learning. Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
