The Opportunity Were on the lookout for a hands-on Yard Supervisor to join our clients team' based at their Lockerbie site. Youll take charge of coordinating the movement of goods in and out of the yard, ensuring safe storage and smooth operations between the yard and office teams. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, a proactive mindset, and experience working in a steel, construction, or heavy goods environment. Key Responsibilities Manage incoming and outgoing steel and materials, ensuring correct handling and documentation. Operate a counterbalance forklift to safely move steel products across the site. Coordinate daily activity between yard teams and office management. Maintain an organised, tidy, and safe working yard in line with health and safety guidelines. Track stock levels and ensure materials are available to meet operational needs. Lead by example, mentoring yard staff and promoting teamwork and productivity. Monitor maintenance of vehicles and equipment, reporting issues as required. Ideal Candidate Must-Haves: Previous experience in a yard or warehouse supervisory role. Hands-on experience operating FLT and moving heavy or steel-based products. Strong communication and organisational skills. Practical mindset with a commitment to health & safety best practice. Desirable: A valid FLT (counterbalance) licence. Experience in steel, construction, or fabrication environments. Note: If you dont currently have an FLT licence but have solid experience, our client may consider putting you through the relevant training. Whats in it for you?
