Teaching Assistant - Blackburn
Tradewind are seeking a motivated and dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis at a Primary School within the Blackburn area. The role will start in May on an ongoing basis. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher to support the learning and development of children across all year groups.
Key Responsibilities:
Working 1-1 with children needing additional support
Full-time hours - 8:30am-3:30pm
Providing pastoral support to children who may need extra help
Contributing to the creation of a safe and nurturing learning environment
Helping to assess pupil's progress and keeping accurate records
Supporting pupils with special educational needs
Flexibility to work across different year groups
The role will include a lunchtime dutyEssential Requirements:
Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service and right to work in the UKDesirable Requirements:
Knowledge of phonics and early years learning
Experience working with children with SEND
