Key Responsibilities of the SEN Teacher:
* Plan, deliver, and assess tailored lessons that meet the needs of students with a variety of special educational needs.
* Support pupils in developing academic, social, and emotional skills.
* Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment where all learners feel valued.
* Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
* Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCOs, therapists, and parents/carers to ensure consistent progress and well‑being.
Requirements for the SEN Teacher role:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience working with children with special educational needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, MLD, SEMH).
* Strong understanding of differentiated teaching and behaviour support strategies.
* Excellent communication, empathy, and organisational skills.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
