Site Engineer Construction (Permanent, Portadown) We are recruiting on behalf of a leading construction company for an experienced and dedicated Site Engineer to join their team in Portadown. This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary of £40,000£45,000 plus company benefits. Overview: The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate on-site construction projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will work closely with the site management team to manage day-to-day operations, meet project deadlines, and maintain compliance with technical specifications and Health & Safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: Act as the main technical adviser on-site, interpreting designs and drawings, and providing practical solutions to engineering challenges. Conduct site setting out, levelling, and surveying. Check plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy. Carry out pre-work checks including concrete pours, steel frame verticality, and other critical inspections. Ensure all work is completed in line with contract documents, building regulations, and legislation. Oversee quality control, including material testing and inspections. Prepare accurate records and reports. Resolve unexpected technical issues and other site challenges. Manage subcontractors, organise resources, and coordinate day-to-day site activities to meet project deadlines. Lead Health & Safety compliance on-site, acting as a point of contact for safety matters. Undertake any other duties reasonably required. Skills & Qualifications Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a relevant construction discipline. Minimum 3 years experience as a Site Engineer on projects of £3M. Proficient in AutoCAD and use of surveying equipment. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office. Sound knowledge of current building methods, regulations, and Health & Safety requirements. Understanding of CDM regulations. Current valid CSR / CSCS card (management level preferred). First Aid certification desirable. Strong time management, communication, and leadership skills. Flexible and positive approach to working hours and locations across the UK and Ireland. Full, clean driving licence required. Willingness and eligibility to obtain security clearance for the role.
