Lecturer - Architectural Technology with Digital Construction 40,170 - 48,357 (Pro rata) 0.2 FTE / 7 Hours Based at Falkirk Campus Fixed-term to June 2026 The Department of STEM and Construction wish to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Lecturer of Architectural Technology to work with learners across SCQF levels 4 to 8. Role: You will produce high quality learning, teaching and assessment materials, and deliver excellent teaching to a range of learners. You will work with the Construction Technology Team to develop new approaches to teaching, making use of learning technologies while ensuring that the curriculum is relevant and up-to-date. You will contribute to the development of provision and enhance students' learning by providing specialist subject support in Computer aided design/modelling for construction and BIM. Person: Preferably educated to Degree level and holding a recognised Teaching Qualification, although experience and enthusiasm will be considered. You will have a strong learner focus and a can-do attitude. You will be enthusiastic and effective team player, good at problem-solving, an excellent teacher, supportive, good at communicating orally and in writing, with good organisational skills. Recent experience of developing innovative teaching practice along with good organisational skills and evidence of appropriate ICT skills are desirable, including a working knowledge of BIM, Autodesk Auto CAD, Autodesk Revit, Lumion and MS Teams. A good understanding of quality standards, health and safety requirements and experience of delivering qualifications in the following related subjects is also desirable: NC CAD HNC Architectural Technology HNC Civil Engineering HNC Construction Management Travel between campuses will be required as part of this role and therefore a driving license is desirable.
