£35,000-£50,000 | flexible & hybrid working offered
An exciting opportunity has arisen within a growing independent practice in Peterborough who are seeking an experienced Semi‑Senior, Senior or Assistant Manager to join them.
The Role
A firm with a specialist focus, and excellent experience in their field, they are seeking an experienced and ACA/ACCA qualified practice accountant to support them with their portfolio and wider firm growth plans. You will perhaps be an experienced and recently qualified Semi‑Senior looking to step up and continue your development journey, or perhaps you are a Senior/Assistant Manager, qualified and looking to take on additional responsibility and have a bigger impact within a specialist firm.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare year-end accounts for a variety of sole traders, ltd companies and partnerships
* Draft statutory financial statements
* Build and maintain client relationships operating also in an advisory capacity to a portfolio of owner managed businesses
* Provide tax support and advice across VAT, corporation tax and self assessment
* Support with management accounts
What We’re Looking For
* It is ESSENTIAL that full ACA or ACCA qualification is held
* Minimum 3+ years' experience within practice
* Experience managing multiple client files and liaising directly with clients
* Ideally strong tax knowledge
* Confidence working with varied workloads and requirements
* Confidence working independently
* Previous experience with accounting systems such as: Xero, Quickbooks, CCH
