Responsibilities
3. Provide leadership and accountability for all engineering activities, including multi-disciplinary design and technical support functions.
4. Champion health, safety, environmental and quality standards across engineering.
5. Ensure compliance with relevant ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
6. Own engineering governance, planning, resourcing, and quality assurance.
7. Drive engineering strategy aligned to long-term business objectives.
8. Provide technical oversight and approval for bids, contracts, and technical documentation.
9. Lead bid/no-bid decisions and contribute to post-project reviews.
10. Develop and maintain a high-performing engineering team through coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
11. Ensure the organisation has the skills and capability required to meet future engineering demands.
The Successful Applicant
Ideal CandidateEssential
12. Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent professional qualification).
13. Proven experience leading an engineering function within a design and manufacturing environment.
14. Strong background in regulated industries with high safety and quality standards.
15. Demonstrated leadership experience, including team development and recruitment.
16. Fluent English communication skills.
Desirable
17. Master's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or management.
18. Experience working for an OEM or similar environment.
19. Background in engineered products involving fabrication, welding, or assembly.
20. Experience working within or supplying to highly regulated public-sector infrastructure environments.
21. Strong understanding of industry standards and compliance frameworks.
