Thornton Primary School is looking to appoint a class teacher, initially for one year, from Thursday 20th August 2026. Candidates are encouraged to apply, indicating their strengths in Key Stage Two.
Thornton Primary is a good school (Ofsted January 2023) with 129 pupils on roll. We pride ourselves on our friendly and welcoming environment, where as a small village school, we know each pupil as an individual. We are an ambitious and forward thinking school with an extremely dedicated and caring staff team with a strong team ethic.
We are looking for a teacher who is:
1. Highly motivated and talented and who will help continue our drive for excellence in pupil outcomes.
2. Have high expectations and aspirations for all learners in the class.
3. Highly skilled in delivering the primary curriculum but especially teaching the core subjects;

7. An excellent team player with superb interpersonal skills; willing to go the extra mile.
