An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Mid Cheshire Hospital Trust Physiotherapy Service for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 7 physiotherapist.
The role will sit within the acute general medical team, requiring significant NHS inpatient experience at B6/B7 level. Masters level postgraduate modules in relevant subjects would be a distinct advantage.
To succeed, you must have excellent leadership skills; leadership training and experience are essential. You will be responsible for staff rostering, appraisals, and clinical audits.
Your application should demonstrate your ability to manage a team, mentor and develop junior staff, and efficiently manage staff rosters. The successful candidate will need outstanding organisational and communication skills.
You will be part of the 24-hour respiratory on-call service. The service is moving to a 6-day roster (approximately 1 in 8 shifts, with a day off during the week), with plans for a 7-day service in the future.
The role involves acting as an advanced clinical specialist for assessment and treatment of medical patients with acute complex needs, providing specialist clinical advice, supporting service development, and leading clinical audits and research.
You will also be responsible for training other healthcare professionals, supervising junior staff, and developing clinical skills through induction and competency programs.
