Job summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Controller to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing creditworthiness, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. This role is critical to maintaining the companys financial health by minimising credit risk and improving cash flow. Key Responsibilities: Set up and maintain accurate customer credit limits and payment terms. Monitor customer account balances to identify overdue payments. Proactively follow up on outstanding invoices by phone, email, or letter. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records. Allocate incoming payments accurately to customer accounts. Resolve customer billing queries and disputes in a timely and professional manner. Support the credit team with processing payments and reconciling accounts. Work closely with the sales and finance teams to resolve account issues. Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, aged debt, and cash collection forecasts. Support month-end and year-end closing processes. Other duties as and when required Requirements: Proven experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a similar finance role. Strong understanding of credit risk, financial documentation, and collections processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial Knowledge of relevant regulations and data protection laws. Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume credit control environment. Work Environment: Office-based Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm. Friday 8.30am to 2.30pm.
