Overview
An established charitable organisation is currently looking to recruit a Night Support Worker based in Cambridgeshire to provide a presence in the building overnight ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and comfort of the residents, and respond to incidents, offer practical support, and help maintain a peaceful, respectful atmosphere
Location: Cambridgeshire
Hours – 40 per week
Duration: 3 months temporary to permanent
Hourly rate - £13.68 per hour (PAYE inclusive of holiday pay)
Key Duties
* Maintain high standards of supervision in order to create a warm, caring and homely atmosphere
* Prevent disruptive behaviour and excessive noise levels, whilst ensuring the safety of residents and other staff, and that an acceptable living environment is maintained
* Follow the cleaning rota as directed by the Senior Project Worker
* Perform regular security checks each hour to ensure that the building is secure, and that noise and disruption are kept to a minimum
* Ensure the premises are evacuated in the event of potential hazards (e.g. fire), in accordance with evacuation procedures
* Check and report any faults with the Fire Alarm system, Fire Extinguishers, smoke detectors etc
Qualifications
* Enhanced Adult and Children DBS
* Experience of working with vulnerable people, although not necessarily in a housing context
