Job Overview
This role involves working with a private client who receives direct payments. The client is a 16‑year‑old youth living in Swansea who requires daily support and transportation for social and recreational activities.
Responsibilities
* Provide safe, timely transportation for the client to social venues, educational activities, and other appointments.
* Ensure the client feels comfortable and supported during all outings.
* Assist with social skill development and provide companionship during activities.
* Support the client in the home environment as needed.
* Help the client manage feelings of anxiety or overwhelm in a calm, respectful manner.
Requirements
* Must own and be licensed to drive a car.
* Must have appropriate business insurance on the vehicle.
* Must possess a DBS check completed prior to commencement.
* Essential personal qualities: mature, patient, dependable, friendly, and adaptable.
* Desirable: prior experience working with young adults or individuals requiring support.
Hours and Compensation
6–8 hours per week worked flexibly after school and on weekends; additional hours may be available during school holidays. Pay is £13.50 per hour.
Employment Terms
The position includes a six‑month probationary period with monthly salary payment. Annual leave is calculated on a pro‑rata basis.
