Salary: £48,000 – £50,000 per annum
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

Houston & Hawkes is seeking an exceptional Head Chef to spearhead an exciting new site launch in the heart of Mayfair — a rare opportunity to shape a world-class food operation from the ground up.
This is far more than a Head Chef role — it’s a chance to build something extraordinary. You’ll take full ownership of a brand-new kitchen operation, delivering across retail dining, hospitality and fine dining. From recruiting and shaping your team to crafting innovative seasonal menus, your creative vision and operational expertise will define the food identity of this landmark venue.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all kitchen operations across retail, hospitality and fine dining with consistently exceptional standards
* Design innovative, seasonal menus that reflect creativity, quality and sustainability
* Recruit, inspire and develop a high-performing kitchen team
* Manage food costs, GP, budgets and stock control with financial confidence
* Drive food quality, presentation and consistency across every cover
* Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and trusted suppliers
* Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene and allergen requirements
* Champion continuous innovation and elevate the overall food and hospitality offer
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a high-quality environment
* Broad exposure across retail, hospitality and fine dining
* A natural leader who motivates, develops and gets the best from their team
* Creative flair and a genuine passion for food, flavour and presentation
* Strong commercial acumen with solid financial and operational management skills
* Excellent communicator, highly organised with an eye for detail
* Excited by the challenge and opportunity of leading a brand-new opening
