Sizewell C will create a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low‑carbon electricity for at least 60 years. It will be built next to Sizewell B which began operating in 1995 and has so far avoided more than 76 million tonnes of carbon emissions.
This role will be hybrid with 1–2 days based at our Bristol Aztec West office.
What you'll be doing
* Quality Delivery Lead (QDL) is responsible for ensuring MEHA quality requirements are successfully implemented and delivered across the full project life cycle.
* Work with Quality Manager Leads to define and ensure supply‑chain adherence to contracted quality assurance and quality control requirements.
* Support the Head of Quality and programme in achieving Integrated Management System arrangements, implementing project‑specific arrangements, and managing quality for all activities within programme scope.
* Coordinate and lead all quality‑related elements associated with the supply chain.
* Ensure manufactured equipment and components conform to contract design and technical specifications.
* Work closely with all project functions and the supply chain to ensure project quality is delivered consistently, safely, efficiently and right the first time, compliant with scope of work and quality arrangements.
* Submit regular performance reports indicating deviations, corrective action taken and escalation of issues.
* Provide a point of independent quality escalation for programme team members to Head of Quality.
Responsible for managing third‑party suppliers to achieve desired programme outcomes.
Who we're looking for
* HNC/HND in Quality Management or a degree in a relevant science or engineering subject, or equivalent qualification.
* Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and ideally ISO 19443:2018, with demonstrable understanding of managing CFSI risk.
* Lead Auditor qualification for ISO 9001.
* Demonstrable experience as a Quality Management Lead managing large quality teams on large MEH construction projects within a highly regulated industry.
* Proven experience in the MEH construction and acceptance process with sufficient experience to understand adjacent activities and through‑life operational issues.
* Confident and articulate communicator, able to prepare presentation material and comfortable addressing individuals, small groups and large audiences.
* Able to support and implement practical solutions while remaining open to ideas of others.
* Experience interfacing with project teams and supply‑chain organisations.
* Analysis of data, preparing reports and making recommendations.
* Proven experience interacting and resolving issues with a wide range of stakeholders in a multi‑cultural environment.
* The ability to influence and provide constructive challenge accepted by others.
* The ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Pro‑active and flexible, prepared to plan and work on own initiative.
* Able to obtain a security clearance.
