Are you an experienced Supplier Manager eager to become part of one of the most engaging and rapidly growing teams in Aviva?
This role is perfect for someone with a proven track record in managing supplier relationships, drafting and managing contracts, and ensuring performance for critical suppliers in a regulated environment, preferably within Financial Services. While the focus of the role will be on IT, direct experience in IT contracts is very advantageous but not mandatory.
Our team is dedicated to delivering value through effective supplier relationships, third-party risk management, and comprehensive oversight. This involves managing contracts (including amendments) and overall relationships with suppliers to mitigate risks, enhance performance, ensure governance, and maximize business value.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team committed to providing excellence in Supplier Management across Aviva.
A bit about the job:
The purpose of the role is to manage suppliers according to best practices and policies, supporting IT colleagues. You’ll apply commercial, contractual, and relationship management skills to ensure suppliers meet and exceed obligations.
You will drive performance by utilising contractual levers, mitigating risks, and collaborating with IT. You will ensure compliance and identify opportunities, leading negotiations including contract amendments and work order approvals.
You will work closely with IT and procurement teams to manage contracts, support disputes, breaches, exits, and ensure adherence to obligations by both parties.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Strong experience in Supplier Management for complex agreements, with proven contract and commercial management skills.
Stakeholder management skills, with a track record of building strong relationships at all levels.
Negotiation skills, supporting and leading negotiations, including dispute resolution.
Customer-focused mindset, always considering the customer in decision-making and encouraging others to do the same.
