Business Development Manager – Soft FM Services
Location: South UK / M4 Corridor – Hybrid/Field-based
Salary: £40,000–£60,000 DOE + uncapped commission
Benefits: Company car, 32 days’ holiday (including bank holidays), structured commission scheme, strong progression and training support.
About the Role:
We’re partnered with a respected and fast growing facilities management provider with a strong reputation across public and commercial markets. Due to continued expansion they’re now looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to take ownership of new business growth, with a focus on long term contracts as well as ad hoc opportunities!
Experience in grounds maintenance or pest control is a strong bonus, but the priority is someone who knows how to win commercial Soft FM work through relationship-building, networking, and proactive sales.
This is a pivotal hire offering the chance to make a tangible impact, build trusted relationships, and help shape the company’s next phase of growth.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Win and drive new business across Soft FM Services
* Managing the full sales cycles, researching prospects, opening doors, presenting solutions, and handing over secured contracts
* Balancing fast moving sales with strategic, high value, multi site opportunities
* Building long-term client relationships through networking, meetings, events, and direct outreach
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless mobilisation of new contracts
What We’re Looking For:
* 2–3 years’ experience in business development across Soft FM services (Commercial Cleaning, Ground maintenance, Pest Control) or experience selling security services (i.e. CCTV, surveillance)
* Strong track record of winning and delivering contracts in the £500k+ range
* Professional, consultative sales approach – relationship-driven, not transactional
* Confident communicator who can influence decision makers across multiple sectors
* Honest, proactive, and commercially astute, with the drive to deliver results
* Full UK driving licence (company car provided)
