What the Job Involves This role requires managing challenging cases, providing an exemplary service, and improving outcomes for children and young people within statutory and organizational systems. Key responsibilities include: Managing complex caseloads and balancing support and control. Coaching and mentoring student social workers. Conducting investigations into neglect or abuse allegations and instigating necessary legal actions. Preparing legal documents and representing the department in court. Designing and implementing care/protection plans to manage risks. Liaising and negotiating with families and multi-disciplinary teams. Promoting best practices and continuous professional development.
