Early Careers & Development Advisor – 12‑Month FTC
A top-tier global law firm is seeking an Early Careers & Development Advisor to join a busy and supportive team. This role plays a key part in recruitment, development, early talent programmes, and marketing activity. What you’ll be doing
* Supporting the Early Careers & Development Manager with trainee recruitment and development
* Helping deliver outreach, assessment processes, SQE training and onboarding
* Taking full ownership of early careers programmes, including vacation schemes
* Managing the firm’s Instagram channel and working with a social media agency on content
* Organising recruitment events, presentations, skills sessions and university engagement
* Building relationships with universities, law societies and graduate publications
* Coordinating and running insight days with support from the wider team
* Screening applications, reviewing video interviews and assisting with interviews and feedback
* Leading the organisation of two annual vacation schemes, including sessions, socials, assessments and onboarding
* Supporting inclusion initiatives and ensuring processes remain accessible and inclusive
* Running trainee induction programmes and managing the bi‑annual seat rotation process
* Coordinating ongoing training with external and internal learning partners
* Managing overseas secondments, visa arrangements and qualification processes
* Conducting regular check‑ins with trainees and escalating pastoral issues where needed
* Overseeing coordinator tasks, including law school registrations and onboarding of joiners
* Assisting with a range of project work across the team
What you’ll bring
* Experience working in early careers or development
* Background in professional services, ideally within a law firm environment
* Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
* Clear written and verbal communication skills, confident engaging with all seniority levels
* Friendly, enthusiastic approach with the ability to multitask and remain proactive
* Self‑motivation and a desire to learn, grow and take ownership
* Strong teamworking skills and a flexible mindset
