Overview
The Supportability role provides supportability services to a diverse range of Combat Systems projects, with an emphasis on influencing design for through-life support and enabling project success through-life.
Responsibilities
* Manage data modules through the lifecycle and publish them to IETP or PDF (depending on customer requirements).
* Developing support strategy for combat systems' hardware.
* Prepare data for parts codification.
* Collaborate closely with engineers to influence design for support.
* Interpret engineering data and, where appropriate, query data to ensure correct interpretation — Availability, Reliability and Maintainability assessment.
* Prepare ILS reports/documentation for delivery to customers on time and to quality.
* Familiar with at least one supportability discipline (e.g., technical handbooks, AR&M, maintenance schedules, Spares modelling, FMECA, etc.).
* Ability to build and maintain relationships; effective communication, problem solving, organisation and prioritisation skills.
* Engineers at all levels should possess an academic qualification in Engineering or related STEM subjects and should become recognised as Incorporated or Chartered Engineers through an appropriate recognised professional institution.
* Please be aware that many roles at BAE Systems are subject to security and export control restrictions. Eligibility requires at least Baseline Personnel Security Standard; higher levels of National Security Vetting may be required, often with 5 to 10 years of UK residency for the role.

Salary: up to £50,000 depending on skills and experience.
