As our project portfolio grows, we are adding to our team and are looking for an experienced project manager to control project process and timelines across all areas of new product, commercial and operational development.
The project manager is ultimately responsible for the delivery of products and services into the market on time and in full to the agreed scope. They will co-ordinate all functions across all elements of the project delivery lifecycle. The daily role of the project manager will be to identify and remove roadblocks for the team and ensure the continuous flow of relevant information for all stakeholders. As part of the project management team, they will take responsibility for improving the project development process and available tools.
It is essential that candidates have experience of project management for product development lifecycle of physical (manufactured) products.
Responsibilities / Key Deliverables
* A compelling project management plan to steer the team in execution containing clear description of the scope, target timeline, key risks, assumptions, project team members and management cadence
* A well-managed project timeline up to date for elements of the project with critical path understood and prioritised
* RAID log for all key project risks, to include assumptions, issues and decisions inclusive of agreed mitigation or action plans
* Support stakeholders in creating compelling business case for target project outcomes, including ROI forecast
* Comprehensive gateway document and checklist to support progress at each stage gate
* Update relevant stakeholders or team members on the project progress
* Coach and support project team members with tasks you assign them
Skills required for success
* Previous experience in overseeing all elements of the project lifecycle in a product development setting
* Good understanding of both R&D and Commercial activities involved in designing and launching new products
* Well practiced communication and inter-personal skills to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
* Good analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts in an easy-to -understand way to non-technical colleagues
* Confidence to use initiative to avoid / resolve issues
* Proactively identify opportunities for improvements and growth
