Administrator - Referral Management and Private Client Team

Job summary: Are you an experienced administrator looking to work in Primary Care? Do you have any Healthcare or NHS experience?


Overview

Role provides an efficient and comprehensive secretarial support service to clinicians and external customers within the Referral Management and Private Client team.


Responsibilities

* Maintain a high standard administrative support service to meet the needs of the role.
* Ensure accurate, efficient, and timely typing skills.
* Process investigations efficiently and effectively.
* Treat all aspects of your role with the highest level of confidentiality.
* Ensure all admin/secretarial duties are carried out efficiently and effectively whilst always having the patient at the forefront of your mind, enabling our GPs to deliver the best patient care.
* Ensure referral letters, insurance and solicitors reports, subject access requests, internal and external queries are carried out efficiently and effectively.
* Understand all aspects of your role and adhere to the team SOP where appropriate.
* Meet individual / team KPIs / targets.
* Provide cover / overtime for your team during periods of annual leave / sickness.
* On occasion you may be required to provide admin support across the department to meet business needs.

Job Description & Responsibilities

* Ensure all admin / secretarial duties are carried out efficiently and effectively whilst prioritising patient care.
* Manage referrals, letters, reports, subject access requests, and internal/external queries.
* Adhere to team SOPs and meet KPIs/targets.
* Provide coverage for the team during annual leave or sickness and offer admin support across the department when needed.


Working Hours

Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm


Person Specification

Essential

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Previous admin experience
* Good keyboard and Microsoft Office skills
* Good verbal and written communication
* Able to work autonomously and as part of a team

Desirable

* Understanding of Medical Terminology
* Experience in an NHS admin role and in-house medical systems, preferably SystmOne
