Job overview
To work closely with stakeholders and act as a key contact on all procurement related business. Undertaking procurement activity for medium value contracts within the procurement strategy. Providing support to procurement and finance colleagues and identifying savings opportunities within specified timescales.
Ensuring compliance with the Trust's Standing Financial Instructions and UK Contracting Regulations while following best practice guidance.
Identifying, delivering, and maximising savings opportunities and demonstrating value for money in all activities.
Main duties of the job
Processing requisitions and orders via the trust's e-tendering system.
Producing reports on supplier spend, product usage, and savings analysis.
Collaborating within a procurement team of 17 staff, building personal networks to enhance performance and contributions from all team members.
The post holder will be in daily contact with procurement and finance colleagues, suppliers, NHS Supply Chain, Clinical Procurement Specialist Nurses, and clinical staff across the organization.

Person specification
Qualifications
* Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply Level 3 (or commitment to achieve this)
Experience
* Experience in purchasing and procurement.
* Experience analyzing spend data to support decision-making.
Knowledge
* Knowledge of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 and relevant legislation concerning public expenditure.
* Understanding of contract structures and procurement principles.
* Experience managing change related to processes, people, products, and suppliers.
* Ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships by assessing needs and ensuring delivery.
* Awareness of the current market environment and opportunities for performance improvement.
Disclosure and Barring Checks (DBS)
