We are looking for a Shift Leader to supervise our Powder Chemical Plant operations, providing direct line management of a 24/7 shift team. More About the Role The Shift Leader is responsible for the management of asset production plans on their designated shift to the required safety and quality standards. You will lead and direct a shift team to execute daily operations and meet the area's production targets. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving production delivery issues for designated shifts whilst also ensuring resources are optimised across the shift. In the role of Shift Leader, you will Identify continuous improvement opportunities for relevant assets in respect of safety, quality, delivery and cost. On occasions you will be the responsible person out of hours for the Hillhouse site, leading any emergency response activity. Your Experience The successful candidate will have experience of leading production teams in complex/hazardous manufacturing plants to required standards. You will have significant experience of coaching to increase performance. You will have proven experience of utilising CI techniques to improve efficiency of manufacturing assets. Along with the ability to problem solve and implement interventions in a timely manner. Experience of writing and implementing standard operating procedures is also required. To be successful in this role you will have attained a HND in a relevant discipline or have equivalent experience. A relevant leadership qualification is desirable. NO RECRUITMENT AGENCIES PLEASE.
