About the School
A newly established independent special school in the East Midlands caters for up to 30 young people aged 916 with Autism and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to lead a school from its inception, shaping its vision, values, curriculum, and culture from the ground up.
The Role:
We are seeking an inspirational and experienced Headteacher with a strong background in special education to:
* Develop and implement a high-quality, individualised curriculum
* Recruit, lead, and inspire a small, dedicated staff team
* Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, wellbeing, and educational outcomes
* Build positive relationships with parents, local authorities, and external stakeholders
About You
* Experienced senior leader within SEN provision (Autism/SEMH experience highly desirable)
* Qualified Teacher with a proven track record in school leadership
* Passionate about inclusive education and improving life chances for young people
* Able to establish and embed a culture of care, respect, and achievement
