As a Retail Merchandiser, you'll have the opportunity to work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, your ability to establish retailer relationships, while being the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, as well as support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally, you may work with products from other companies in the stores you service.
SALARY AND SCHEDULE DETAILS
* Your starting pay will be between $16.50 - $16.75 depending on your schedule and location.
* This is a Part-Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
* Weekly hours are between 7 – 10 hours.
* Availability during the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
You will perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers. The position includes three main components:
* Day-to-day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you will restock, organize, and monitor inventory of Hallmark products. Technology is crucial for daily tasks, communication, reporting, feedback, and surveys. Professional interaction with store staff and customers is essential. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores.
* Holiday support: During seasonal demand periods, especially around Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, expect additional days and extended hours. Some holidays may require working on the actual holiday and weekends.
* Department Resets: You may participate in team efforts to install fixtures, relocate departments, and reset sections, often with two weeks' notice. These tasks may include evenings or weekends.
* One Team Vision: As part of Hallmark's field organization, you support other team members across territories as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This role is physically demanding, requiring energy and urgency. You will work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, lifting up to 30 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds. You must be able to kneel, squat, walk, stand, and climb stairs or ladders.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* At least 18 years old.
* Ability to read, write, and understand English.
* Ability to lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
* Ability to operate a digital device for reading and interpreting information.
* Access to Wi-Fi and internet.
* Reliable transportation to travel to assigned stores.
