What you'll do
· Keeping allotment sites safe, clean and properly cultivated.
· Carry out repairs and maintenance tasks on Council premises, assets and equipment.
· Be customer facing for Dover Town Council with other members of public.
· Report issues to your line manager.
· Help with setting up, running & closing of Town Council events.
· Act as relief driver for the mayor at civic events.
· Oversee contractors at council properties under guidance of line manager.
· Assisting with moving monitoring & repairing of Dover Cycle Scheme bikes & hubs.
What we're looking for
· Full clean UK driving licence.
· Confident using a wide range tools and equipment safely.
· Able to work independently under direction while respecting Town Council rules & the law.
· Experience of working with Health & Safety policies & practices & legal requirements.
· Basic IT skills (smartphone, photos, simple report writing).
· Good communication and organisational skills & interaction with public.
· Physically fit, capable, honest, reliable & courteous.
· Discretion, common sense & commitment.
