In the heart of Merton 'Outstanding' Secondary School we are looking for an English Teacher to start in September 2026. This is a permanent, full‑time position.
Job Description
* English Teacher or English ECT
* Inspire and motivate the younger generation
* Work alongside a team of teachers
* Opportunity to take on a TLR role (e.g., KS3 Coordinator, Pastoral Responsibility, 2iC, HOD and more)
* ECTs welcomed – 1:1 mentor, bespoke induction, in‑house training and more
* September 2026 – full time & permanent
* MPS1‑UPS3 + TLR (size depending on experience)
* Located in the Borough of Merton
Person Specification
* Must have UK QTS or be in the process of gaining it
* Strong academics (degree, A levels, GCSEs)
* Must meet the 8 teaching standards to a 'good' or 'outstanding' level
* Must be able to work as part of a large team of teachers
* Willing to listen to feedback
