Job Title: Manager of Community Relations

Location: Greater Boston, MA

Help Power a Cleaner Future

Join a forward-thinking clean energy leader that’s reshaping how America generates power. We're seeking a Manager of Community Relations to help bring low-carbon, sustainable energy solutions to communities across the country.

In this pivotal role, you’ll be the bridge between our energy projects and the people they serve—building trust, fostering partnerships, and shaping the community conversation around clean power. You’ll work with development, operations, and communications teams to ensure projects not only succeed technically, but are embraced locally.

What You’ll Do

* Lead Community Engagement: Develop and execute stakeholder engagement strategies from development through operation—tailored to each community’s unique needs and perspectives.
* Act as a Strategic Partner: Collaborate across departments (development, asset management, and corporate communications) to align outreach with business goals.
* Own the Outreach Narrative: Create and oversee content—mailers, presentations, FAQs, digital media—that tells a compelling story and answers tough questions.
* Foster Local Relationships: Build strong, positive connections with local governments, community leaders, business owners, and residents.
* Coordinate Charitable Efforts: Design and implement annual giving programs that reflect the company’s values and benefit host communities.
* Manage External Partners: Oversee PR and community engagement firms to ensure messaging consistency and long-term community support.
* Lead Events: Plan and host open houses, listening sessions, and other community-facing events that inspire confidence and support.
* Anticipate and Mitigate: Proactively identify and address potential community concerns before they escalate.

What You Bring

* 3-5 years of experience in public outreach, community relations, or stakeholder engagement—ideally within the energy, infrastructure, or environmental sectors.
* Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder landscapes and guide public opinion toward constructive outcomes.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable navigating high-stakes conversations with professionalism and empathy.
* Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Policy, Political Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a strong plus.
* Hands-on experience with communications strategy, campaign work, public affairs, or public relations.
* Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
* Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% across the U.S.

Why Join Our Client?

* Be part of a mission-driven organization accelerating the U.S. energy transition.
* Make a real, lasting impact in communities nationwide.
* Work alongside industry leaders at the forefront of clean energy innovation.
* Enjoy a collaborative, values-driven culture focused on integrity, inclusion, and results.

Ready to connect communities to a cleaner energy future?

Apply today and help lead the conversation on sustainability—one community at a time.
