Our stunning new home, Statham Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built care facility situated in the picturesque village of Lymm in Cheshire. The home provides care for 66 residents with a variety of needs, including residential and nursing care. We prioritize safety, comfort, and high standards of care, reflecting the New Care vision. We invest in the latest technology and offer engaging activities and gentle exercises to enhance residents' wellbeing. Our team members are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, with comprehensive induction and ongoing training through our in-house trainers and the New Care Academy. The home is rated GOOD by CQC across all domains. We maintain a permanent staff team, avoiding agency staff for over 4 years, to ensure continuity and trust with residents. Staff are paid at least the national minimum wage.
We are seeking a kind, caring, and motivated Team Leader to join our team. You will support the Home Manager and Deputy in providing leadership and managing the home 24/7 within available resources. This is a 0-hour BANK contract with an hourly rate of £13.60. Shift times are 07:45-20:00 or 19:45-08:00. Applicants must have medication management and administration experience.
Role Responsibilities:
* Promote the highest standard of person-centered clinical nursing care to residents.
* Manage and supervise the care team to ensure quality care delivery during shifts.
* Be a role model demonstrating person-centered care.
* Safeguard the welfare of adults under your responsibility.
* Manage the delivery of personalized care according to each resident’s care plan.
* Support professional standards within the home, assisting the Deputy and Home Manager.
* Provide supervision, coaching, and assessment to Care Assistants.
* Ensure proper assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care via written care plans.
* Maintain accurate records as required by the company and regulatory bodies.
* Manage daily rotas and delegate workload ensuring sufficient staffing.
* Complete new admission files within the first week, involving the named nurse, senior carer, and key worker.
* Build relationships with external professionals.
* Assist in conducting regular quality audits of care plans.
Skills and experience required:
* Medication management and administration experience.
* Experience working with older people.
* NVQ Level 2 in Social Care or equivalent.
* NVQ Level 3 in Social Care or equivalent, or achieving this within 12 months of employment.
* Ability to contribute to assessment, planning, and evaluation of care needs.
* Knowledge of the 6 principles of care and their application.
* Good communication skills, both oral and written.
* Self-motivated and confident.
