Regulatory Information & Enforcement Analyst

Salary: Competitive starting salary of £30,400-£35,000 per annum depending on experience

This is an exciting new role at Thames Water where you will contribute to mitigating enforcement risks related to water discharge non-compliance and pollution incidents. You will respond to the Environment Agency (EA) across various communication channels, working closely with our legal team at Eversheds Sutherland and the EA. This role offers exposure across the business and an opportunity to impact the company's environmental initiatives.
What you’ll be doing as a Regulatory Information & Enforcement Analyst
The main focus will be conducting extensive email and document searches across company systems in response to information requests from the EA. Key responsibilities include:
1. Collaborating with internal stakeholders and Eversheds to assess relevance of search findings.
2. Preparing relevant documents for submission to the EA within regulatory deadlines.
3. Assisting in the preparation of mitigation and defence evidence through system interrogation, used in communication with Eversheds, management, and regulators.
4. Chairing and facilitating meetings with information providers, ensuring clarity of purpose and preparedness.
Location and Working Pattern
Base location: Hybrid, with an average of two days per week at Clearwater Court, Reading.
Working hours: Flexible options available, to be discussed at interview.
Additional Requirements
Ability to travel across Thames Water sites for training and team building.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in IT and extensive database searching.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
* Experience with AI search systems.
* Relevant sector experience, especially in wastewater or clean water processes, is advantageous.
* Previous experience with legal privilege is desirable.
