We are recruiting for two Associate s for the Cross Portfolio Team (CCP) to join the Advisers, Wealth & Pensions (AWP) Department within the Consumer Investments (CI) Directorate. There is one permanent role and one 10-12 months Fixed Term Contract / Secondment available.
The Cross Cutting Portfolio (CCP) team works across Advisers, Wealth and Pensions Department (AWP) to be the beating heart of the department. The team guides on our extensive external supervisory engagement programme to reach as many firms as possible and stakeholder management strategy. This includes liaison with a range of external professional bodies and groups. We seek to join up our portfolios to ensure clear, compelling communication on issues. We also manage the delivery of the internal communications for the department.
As a colleague in AWP, you would play a vital role in helping to deliver our vision across over 6,000 firms that operate in the sector.CI’s vision is that consumers can:
* Invest with confidence and understand the risks they are taking
* Access & identify investments that suit their circumstances and attitude to risk
* Be protected from scams and fraud
* Get the right advice or support to invest, should they want it
AWP works to accomplish these goals through reducing and preventing the harm that comes from unsuitable advice, investment or pension scams, financial crime and disorderly failure, and by ensuring consumer interests ( particularly consumers with vulnerabilities) are central to the firms within the sector.
What will you be doing?
* Play a role in communications and engagement work across the FCA
* Taking a proactive approach in preparing the department for external events through speeches, presentations, questions and answers and other materials
* Travelling to major industry events across the country representing the FCA
* Communicating with stakeholders within the industry to make improvements
* Analysing data, making comparisons and preparing insightful findings for internal colleagues and industry partners
* Mitigating and managing risks in firms, handling a variety of issues and identifying common themes and trends
