What we are looking for:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Principal Software Engineer specializing in Salesforce platform engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering and a passion for mentoring and leading team members. This role requires a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform and the ability to design and implement highly scalable solutions that meet our clients' needs. A background in financial services is desired, but not mandatory. This role will provide the opportunity to shape our Salesforce practice and be a leader in applying modern engineering methods.
As a Principal Engineer, you will :
1. Lead the design and development of Salesforce solutions, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry best practices.
2. Collaborate with client stakeholders to design enterprise solutions on Salesforce and into external platforms.
3. Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
4. Stay up-to-date with the latest Salesforce features and incorporate them into development processes.
5. Define the way our Salesforce practice applies engineering standards across programs
6. Gain additional skills in leadership, solutioning, and client engagement through practical experience and training.
We are looking for a person with proven experience in the following areas:
7. Proven experience in designing solutions that are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry best practices on the Salesforce platform
8. Demonstrated experience of shaping engineering teams to work effectively and introducing innovative ideas.
9. Demonstrated experience of applying modern engineering methods and patterns for efficiency and good system design
10. Strong communication and interpersonal skills where you have engaged directly with clients to guide them on appropriate solutions for their needs.
11. Strong knowledge of software engineering principles and best practices and working with cloud platforms
12. Experience addressing key system architecture concerns (scalability, performance, availability, maintainability) in the context of Salesforce.
13. Building and maintaining APIs, ensuring high standards for web performance, security, and accessibility
14. Naturally you know the platform features (Apex, Flow, LWC) and when to apply them based on performance vs supportability. You also know ecosystem tools and how they can expedite delivery.
Set yourself apart:
15. Industry-specific knowledge and experience leveraging leading Salesforce and ecosystem industry solutions
16. Salesforce Application Architect, System Architect, PD2, Technical Architect (CTA) are desired
17. Active Salesforce community participation and contributions desired
18. Relevant Salesforce and cloud platform certifications
