Role: Environmental Protection Team Leader REF 1563483 Contract Length: 3 months Location: Hybrid/Kettering or Thrapston - 2 days a week in office IR35: Inside Pay Rate to Intermediary: £43 per hour
Spinwell is recruiting for an Environmental Protection Team Leader for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION TEAM LEADER
Lead on Major Planning Applications: Act as the technical lead for assessing the environmental impacts of major planning applications, providing expert advice and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policy. Conduct and Oversee EPR Inspections: Lead and coordinate inspections under the Environmental Permitting Regulations (EPR), ensuring high standards of environmental protection and regulatory compliance. Manage Complex Statutory Nuisance Investigations: Take the lead on complex investigations into statutory nuisances, including noise, odour, and air quality issues, and oversee the resolution process in line with legal requirements. Team Leadership and Work Allocation: Allocate work across the Environmental Protection team, ensuring effective use of resources and timely delivery of services. Provide Technical Guidance and Support: Offer expert advice, mentorship, and professional guidance to team members to maintain high standards and support ongoing development. Ensure Compliance and Best Practice: Promote adherence to relevant environmental legislation, policies, and best practices across all areas of the team's work.
