Account Executive – Renewals
Location: South Molton
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 (DOE)

Are you an experienced Account Executive with a passion for client relationships and a proven track record in renewals? This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected insurance brokerage where you’ll play a key role in retaining business, delivering exceptional service, and driving team success.
You’ll be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, leading renewal activity, and ensuring a smooth, professional service from start to finish. This is a hands‑on role that combines technical broking expertise with genuine relationship management.
The Role
As an Account Executive, your focus will be on the renewal and retention of existing clients, maintaining high service standards and ensuring regulatory compliance at all times.
You Will
* Handle renewals across a range of commercial clients, including more complex and high‑value cases.
* Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with clients, insurers and underwriters.
* Gather renewal information, assess client needs, and provide professional advice on suitable cover options.
* Negotiate with insurers to secure competitive terms and provide clear, accurate documentation.
* Support colleagues and management in achieving departmental and company targets.
* Provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members, promoting a collaborative working culture.
* Handle mid‑term adjustments, queries and claims‑related advice when required.
* Attend client meetings, representing the business professionally and proactively.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure all activity is fully compliant with FCA and internal procedures.
* Contribute to departmental reporting, including performance figures and renewal outcomes.
About You
You’ll be a confident communicator with solid technical insurance knowledge and a strong focus on client service and retention.

* Proven experience as an Account Executive, ideally within commercial insurance.
* Strong understanding of the renewal process and insurer negotiations.
* Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
* The ability to manage your workload effectively and work to deadlines.
* Sound knowledge of FCA regulations and insurance documentation standards.
* A proactive, professional approach with strong attention to detail.
* Experience mentoring or supporting colleagues would be advantageous.
* Commitment to maintaining CPD and developing your professional knowledge.
