Commercial Finance Business Partner | Manchester | Paying up to £75k | 2 days office / 3 days home
Robert Half is partnering with a growing financial services organisation to recruit a Commercial Finance Business Partner into a highly visible and commercially focused role.
This opportunity offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the chance to play a key role in shaping commercial performance, strategic decision-making and long-term business planning.
Working closely with commercial stakeholders, the successful candidate will act as a trusted finance partner, providing insight, challenge and support across customer opportunities, forecasting activities and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Act as the primary finance contact for commercial and sales teams.
2. Review, analyse and challenge commercial proposals, ensuring opportunities are financially robust before approval.
3. Deliver meaningful insight and recommendations to senior stakeholders, including CFO-level audiences.
4. Lead forecasting activities, partnering closely with sales teams to understand performance drivers and future expectations.
5. Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support decision-making and business planning.
6. Support the development and execution of long-term strategic plans.
7. Provide financial analysis and commercial insight to support growth initiatives and investment decisions.
8. Partner with FP&A and regional analyst teams to deliver accurate reporting and forecasting outputs.
9. Contribute to strategic and ad-hoc projects across the business.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be a qualified finance professional with strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence decision-making through data-driven insight.
Requirements include:
10. ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
11. Previous experience within Commercial Finance, FP&A or Finance Business Partnering roles.
12. Strong financial modelling and forecasting capability.
13. Advanced Excel skills are essential.
14. Experience using planning and forecasting tools such as Anaplan would be advantageous.
15. Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
16. Experience operating within a commercially focused environment where revenue growth and customer performance are key business drivers.
17. Background within financial services, fintech, payments, banking or other regulated sectors would be beneficial.
18. Audit experience is welcomed but not essential.

19. Base salary of £70,000 - £75,000, with flexibility for exceptional candidates.
