Job Description
The Role: The Senior Technical Architect is responsible for delivering and implementing KPMG’s M365 solutions for our clients. The Senior Architect will be comfortable presenting these solutions to clients in workshops and demonstrations. The Senior Architect will manage the end-to-end delivery working with other Architects and Consultants to ensure our projects are delivered on time and with high quality. The Senior Architect will mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Creating architectural designs based on customer requirements.
* Delivering product presentations and configured demonstrations to showcase our capabilities in cloud adoption.
* Acting as the Technical Design Authority on projects alongside Solution Architects.
* Providing project governance and mentoring team members.
* Maintaining technical knowledge through collaboration with Microsoft account teams.
* Developing and implementing Entra/Active Directory solutions, including Entra ID and on-premises Active Directory (AD DS, AD FS, AD CS, Entra Connect).
* Ensuring security and proper configuration of Entra and Active Directory environments.
* Collaborating with clients to align their cloud strategies with Microsoft technology.
* Presenting propositions to customers via webinars and face-to-face workshops.
* Engaging with KPMG stakeholders to ensure understanding of solutions throughout the firm.
* Contributing to proposals and RFIs alongside sales and pre-sales teams.
Core Technical Knowledge Required:
* Proven experience with Entra, including on-premises Active Directory (AD DS, AD FS, AD CS, Entra Connect).
* Experience with M365 migrations and deployments, including tenant merges.
* Experience with M365 security and configuration, including Defender for Identity.
* Knowledge of core M365 applications and services such as Exchange, OneDrive, Teams, Viva, SharePoint.
* Experience with M365 governance and data protection services, including Information Protection and DLP.
* Background in on-premises infrastructure, virtualization technologies, or applications is desirable.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience with Intune, Endpoint security, and management.
* M365 business adoption and change management.
* PowerApps development.
* Unified Communications and meeting services.
Candidate Requirements:
* 10+ years’ experience in cloud or infrastructure delivery.
* Experience in application and data migration or business process modernization.
* Leadership experience in delivery engagements and managing technical teams.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to manage relationships in complex environments.
* Strong communication skills (verbal, written, listening).
* Ability to produce high-quality, professional presentations.
* Attention to detail and consistency in documentation.
* Flexible approach with a focus on delivery within deadlines and standards.
* Discretion in handling confidential information.
* Current or willingness to obtain HM Government security clearances.
