Job Description:
We are currently seeking experienced and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver (s) to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with leading companies and gain valuable experience in the transport sector.
Multi-drop role, delivering various beverages (including alcohol), collecting empty kegs/pallets. You must be physically fit. Youll be working alongside a driver's mate, and both of you will handle the deliveries/ collections together.
Shifts: Monday to Friday (occasional weekend working during peak periods)
Start times: 05.00
06.00 AM, min 8 hrs paid
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver drinks in various containers to clients in and around London.
- Undertake vehicle inspection checks.
- Ensure customer orders are secured and packaged correctly for delivery prior to departure.
- Liaise with your Drivers mate to deliver customer orders ina timely manner.
- Inform the customer of any order delays, stock shortages or problems.
- Assist with the unloading of customer orders from the vehicle to the customer premises.
- Collect empty kegs/pallets and returns - when back at Depot ensure they are handled and stored correctly within the Warehouse or yard.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are adhered to.
- Complete all paperwork/EPOD tasks and liaise with transport management regarding vehicle issues/delays.
- Ensure full compliance with Tachograph legislation.
Requirements:
- Valid Full UK driving Licence and clean driving record.
- Valid CPC
- Valid Tacho Card
- Minimum 1 year of multi -drop and Class 2 driving experience
- No more than 3 pts on licence (no major endorsements
- Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
