Wymondham Associates are working with a long-term client who is seeking to bring in an experienced Health & Safety Manager from within the Main Contracting arena.
This leading contractor is seeking to strengthen its On-Site Delivery Team with the hire of an experienced Health & Safety Manager for involvement in a large new build project. The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate at least 5 years in a similar position on large scale construction projects; will have worked on commercial and industrial new build and fit out works and should be able to point to significant experience on major construction projects of more than 25,000 sq. ft. / $20 million+.
Responsibilities will include:
Management of the site safety plan
The preparation of job hazard analysis and risk assessments for all work
Safety meeting minutes, incident reports and investigations.
To liaise with specialist Civil and MEP subcontractors to ensure compliance with site safety requirements.
The successful applicant will have:
An industry recognized H&S qualification (NEBOSH will be highly advantageous)
Construction Industry Safety Health Administration (OSHA) 30 Hour Training or equivalent
Incident investigation training
A good understanding of the logistics and planning of crane lifts.
All successful applicants will be self-motivated individuals, will be good timekeepers and will have a flexible approach to work. They should have good communication and computer skills. A proven ability to work as part of a site-based project team, liaise with Owners, Design consultants, Subcontractors and Suppliers is a must.
The project is currently in preconstruction and will be looking to commence on site in February 2026, and the hiring process is commencing now in lieu of a work permit process.
