Academy Casual Coach Cheltenham Town FC Academy Cheltenham Town FC Academy is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Academy Casual Coach to join our coaching team. This role will play an important part in supporting the planning and delivery of our Academy’s training and games programme, helping to develop talented young players in line with the club’s coaching philosophy. Reporting to the Academy Head of Coaching, the successful candidate will contribute to all aspects of coaching delivery, bringing a passion for working with young people and a collaborative approach to player development. This position is ideal for someone with experience in elite football environments or for a coach looking to further develop within an Academy setting. Responsible for the planning and implementation of individual learning plans in line with club coaching and playing philosophy. Key Tasks & Responsibilities Personal Development Undertake self-development to ensure knowledge in relation to all aspect of your role is up-to-date and forward thinking: Complete FA CPD as required to keep your FAN/Licence up to date Complete club CPD and qualifications as part of your on-going development action plan Coaching Curriculum, Playing and Coaching Philosophy Ensure the academy’s coaching curriculum is consistently delivered in line with the academy’s playing philosophy and coaching philosophy Design and implement age-appropriate sessions that provides maximal opportunity for players to practice, develop and learn. Games Programme Co-coach on match days Individual Learning Plan Design and Delivery Design practices that give players the opportunity to practice their ILP’s Feedback Provide regular updates to the cell lead / phase lead to support the MDT review process Such other duties as may be appropriate to achieve the objectives of the post and to assist the Academy Manager About The Candidate Qualifications UEFA B Coaching Licence (or working towards) Safeguarding and Protecting Children EFAiF - Emergency First Aid in Football (or working towards / willing to complete) Required Experience Experience of working in at least 1 of the following roles: A football coaching role A mentoring/coaching role Knowledge and/or experience of at least 3 of the following: The process of learning in young people (pedagogy) Running and designing development programmes Football coaching Sports Psychology ICT experience of PMA, excel, word and any other software as required to carry out the duties required for the job.
