The Council’s Planning Service positively contributes to maintaining and enhancing the unique character of the area, ensuring that we accommodate the growth needed to support our local economy and residents, whilst protecting the environment and our communities against harmful unauthorised development. We are currently recruiting an Enforcement Officer to investigate and resolve a variety of planning enforcement cases on sites located across the borough. The right candidate will have a good understanding of the planning system and planning enforcement. They should be a confident communicator, with excellent people skills and be able to effectively resolve breaches of planning control whilst working in a constructive, positive and measured way.
