Capita Technology & Software Solutions is seeking a Shift Engineer to join their expanding team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a large onshore and offshore team.
The position involves working on a rota that includes days and nights with ample rest periods, along with shift allowances.
The main responsibilities include being the primary contact for Windows operating system issues, as well as managing Cloud (Azure) and Virtualization (VMWare) environments. The role requires providing 24x7x365 support for onshore managed IT infrastructure and is shift-based. Candidates must meet SC eligibility criteria.
Key Requirements:
1. Experience supporting Windows in 1st and 2nd line roles
2. Experience with VMWare
3. Experience providing 24x7 support
4. Ideally, familiarity with Azure and Unix
5. Strong background in IT support
6. Basic understanding of IP networks, addresses, and network devices
7. Desired certifications: ITIL Foundation, MCP/MCITP/MCSE
8. Ability to manage workloads independently and as part of a team
9. Effective communication and problem-solving skills
10. Eligibility for Security Clearance
