Job Overview

We are excited to offer a permanent, 0.9wte 8a Senior Clinical Psychology post for suitably qualified, skilled, and experienced applicants in the CAMHS team covering Gwynedd and Anglesey. We are a friendly, experienced, and dynamic multi-disciplinary team based in North Wales. The eating disorders component will cover Gwynedd and Anglesey, with some appointments at the North Wales Adolescent Unit in Abergele. The core CAMHS work will be in Meirionnydd and Dwyfor.

We also welcome applications from Clinical Psychologists seeking to progress to a Senior Clinical Psychologist role. The successful candidate will initially be appointed at Band 7 with a development plan to achieve competencies within 6 months to 2 years, leading to promotion on successful completion.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will provide services to children and young people (0-18 years) with severe mental health difficulties, developing expertise in eating disorders. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing formulations, providing interventions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, offering supervision, and taking leadership in service improvement initiatives. Opportunities for audits, research, teaching, and supervision of trainees are also available.

With developments in Wales, this is an excellent time to join our team. Please contact Dr Gwenllian Parry or Dr Trish Girling for further information. The role can be considered as a development opportunity.

Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential; applications in English or Welsh are welcome.
